Foraging walk and eco-talk at Lone Star College – Kingwood

Join Texas Master Naturalist David RenningerĀ on the last Saturday of every month for a wild edible plants expedition through LSC-Kingwood’s Lowlands trail system. Participants will learn the rules of foraging along with how to identify edible species including tips on preparation. David also touches on topics relating to watersheds, ecology, and sustainability. Participants will receive a checklist to improve the sustainability of their own properties. Group meets at the tennis courts near the Lowlands trail head. Be prepared for exposure to Texas climates and environmental conditions. Snakes, insects, and wildlife may be present.
